WS Sergeant Completes School of Police Staff and Command Program
Sergeant Dan Albrecht completed the 10-week program, instituted by Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety.

Western Springs, IL - The Western Springs Police Department is proud to announce the recent graduation of Sergeant Dan Albrecht from Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC).
Sergeant Albrect successfully completed the 10 week program held in Plainfield from January 4 to May 6 of this year.
The program, which was instituted by Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety in 1983, has graduated thousands of students both nationally and internationally. Sergeant Albrecht was a student in Class No. 389, which was comprised of 47 students during the 10-week course.

The School of Police Staff and Command provided advanced level college instruction in many topics including management theory, organizational behavior, human resources for law enforcement, budgeting and staffing allocation.
The Center for Public Safety was established at Northwestern University in Evanston in 1936 with the specific goal of expanding university-based education and training for law enforcement professionals.
