Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt Opens in Western Springs
The owners of the new self-serve yogurt shop in Garden Market Shopping Center recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with village officials.
Western Springs has a new sweet spot.
Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt cut the ribbon at their new Garden Market Shopping Center location Nov. 22, celebrating the opening of the self-serve yogurt place that "allows customers to fill their cup with any gourmet frozen yogurt flavor, add a variety of toppings, weigh it and then love it," according to the official Yumz website.
Yumz is a franchise-based company that has locations in Florida and Indiana as well as Illinois. Its website says that new locations are in the process of opening in California, Iowa, Nevada and Wisconsin.
The new Western Springs location is owned by Ryan Carrasquillo and his parents, Tony and Becky Carrasquillo, a release from the Village of Western Springs states.
"Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt offers an amazing variety of frozen yogurt flavors, toppings and combinations to make any visit an adventure for the taste buds," Ryan Carrasquillo said in the release. "The self-serve concept allows customers to fill their cup with any gourmet frozen yogurt flavor, add a variety of toppings, weigh it and then love it."
