52 Tickets, 3 Arrests During DuPage County's Holiday Safety Crackdown
DuPage County's holiday safety campaign wrapped up Monday.
DUPAGE COUNTY — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office issued 52 tickets and made three arrests during their 2025-26 holiday safety campaign, which wrapped up Monday.
The citations included more than a dozen speeding tickets. The full list of citations is as follows:
- 13 speeding tickets
- 11 distracted driving tickets
- 5 seatbelt tickets
- 5 tickets for driving without insurance
- 4 tickets for failing to signal
- 3 tickets for disobeying a stop sign
- 2 tickets for driving without valid vehicle registration
- 2 tickets for disobeying a traffic signal
- 2 tickets for driving with expired license plates
- 1 ticket for improperly displaying license plates
- 1 ticket for failing to carry a driver's license
- 1 ticket for failing to yield to an emergency. vehicle
- 1 ticket for improper lighting
- 1 ticket for making an improper turn
The arrests were as follows:

- 2 arrests for speeding between 26 and 34 mph over the posted speed limit
- 1 arrest for driving without a valid license
The safety campaign, which began Dec. 12, was part of the statewide "Click It or Ticket," "Drive High. Get a DUI" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" initiatives.
