AMI Welcomes Ryan Koranda - Cello / Guitar Lessons

The American Music Institute (AMI) proudly welcomes cello / guitar teacher Ryan Koranda to its faculty. Ryan brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to AMI’s Strings program, inspiring students of all ages and skill levels.

Ryan Koranda holds his master’s degree in cello performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and has professionally served both the Chicago suburbs and Chicagoland communities.

Ryan has been a member of the Southwest Symphony Orchestra, and currently plays in the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra. He has recorded for Electrical Audio in Chicago and was a featured cellist on composer Rob Ryndak recordings where Pacific Coast Jazz reviewed him in encompassing “a haunting cello sound”.

With a serious pedagogical passion, Ryan greatly enjoys teaching all ages and helping them achieve their lifelong goals through music. His students have performed in part of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra’s Rising Star Showcase, the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra, and ILMEA All-State orchestras.
