Back To School: Community Unit School District 200 2025-26 Calendar

WHEATON, IL — There are just a few short weeks of summer left until students head back to school. Back-to-school planning has already begun at Community Unit School District 200, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2025-2026 school year.

The first day of school is set for Aug. 15 for District 200 students in first through 12th grades.

Here's a look at some dates to know for the upcoming school year:

Aug. 15: First day of school for first through 12th grade students

Aug. 18: First day of school for kindergarten students

Aug. 19: First day of school for early childhood students

Sept. 1: Labor Day; no school

Sept 26: Institute Day; no school

Oct. 10: Conferences; no school

Oct. 13: Indigenous Peoples Day; no school

Nov. 4: Institute Day; no school

Nov. 7: Election Day; no school

Nov. 24-Nov. 28: Thanksgiving Break

Dec. 22 - Jan. 2: Winter Break

Jan. 5: Institute Day; no school

Jan. 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day; no school

Feb. 16: Presidents' Day; no school

Feb. 27: County Institute Day; no school for students

March 30-April 3: Spring Break

May 23: High School Graduation

May 25: Memorial Day; no school

May 28: Last day of school

May 29-June 4: Emergency Days, if needed
