Car Fatally Hits Pedestrian, Injures Another In West Chicago: Police

WEST CHICAGO, IL — A pedestrian died and another was hurt after they were both hit by a car in West Chicago Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to the intersection of Main and Washington Streets around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a crash involving two pedestrians. Both pedestrians were taken to a nearby hospital, where one died of injuries from the crash.

According to police, the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. As of Saturday, the name of the decedent was not being shared, pending notification of next of kin.
