Check out These Huskies Near Wheaton This Weekend

Visitors can see demonstrations of husky sled-pulling and skijoring

The Morton Arboretum will be featuring a program called Husky Heroes where visitors can meet huskies and see them in action on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the Morton Arboretum website, "Guests can watch demonstrations of husky sled-pulling and skijoring, a winter sport where the dogs pull a person on skis. Children and adults can visit the dogs and sled teams, inspect equipment, and have their pictures taken with the rigs. In addition, information will be available during the event about husky adoption."

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with demonstrations at approximately 11:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

The program is sponsored by Adopt a Husky Inc. The arboretum asks visitors to leave their pets at home for this event.
