WHEATON, IL — Road work is expected to cause intermittent delays on parts of Butterfield Road in Wheaton this summer and fall.

Lane closures will take place during daylight hours as crews from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) work to resurface the roadway. The work, which began April 30 will impact traffic on Butterfield between Naperville Road in Wheaton and Route 59 in Warrenville.

IDOT advises drivers to use caution and find alternative routes when possible. The road work is anticipated to wrap up in November.
