Family Of Slain Wheaton Woman Raising Funds

Her ex-husband has been charged with murder

An online fundraiser for Erin C. McGuire Leinweber has raised nearly $10,000 in the past week. The 58-year-old Wheaton grandmother was found murdered in her home on the evening of Feb. 4. Her ex-husband, Lee Leinweber, has been accused of murdering her, and his bond has been set at $2 million.

Services for Leinweber were scheduled for tobe held on Saturday at the Williams-Kampp Funeral Home and at St. Michael Church, both in Wheaton.

According to her obituary, Leinweber was the "beloved mother of Brehan (Andrew) Holoka, Chaz (Elizabeth) Kuhn and Jason Leinweber; loving grandmother of Billy, Carleigh, Mikey and expecting another; dear sister of Ig (Jan) McGuire, Don (Maureen) McGuire, Michael McGuire and James McGuire; proud aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ignatius and Marian McGuire."
