WHEATON, IL — Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will perform a live show at Cantigny Park to benefit the West Suburban Foundation for Disabled Veterans. The performance is slated for July 12 at 7 p.m.

The band takes its name from the character Sinise played in Forrest Gump, a veteran who part of both legs amputed after the Vietnam War. Sinise was nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actor for this role.

Cantigny Park's event description calls the show a "rare public appearance" for Sinise and the band.
