Inclement Weather Cancels Electronics Recycling Event

WHEATON, IL — With winter weather forecasted for the weekend, Wheaton has canceled its Jan. 13 Electronics Recycling event.
The event was set to be held at the city's public works storage yard. Officials said in an update that the cancellation was to ensure the safety of volunteers and attendees.
A winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service until 12 p.m. Saturday for DuPage County. This comes after winter weather impacted the region and brought some snow accumulation Tuesday.
