Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Girl, 5, At Store In West Chicago

WEST CHICAGO, IL — A West Chicago man faces felony charges after police say he sexually abused a 5-year-old girl at a Dollar General store in West Chicago.

Hugo Bucio Munoz, 20, of the 500 block of Carriage Drive, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim younger than 13 years old in connection with Sunday night's incident.

Police say the girl told her mother that Bucio Munoz exposed himself to her and forced her to touch his penis. The child's mother contacted the West Chicago Police Department, who arrested Bucio Munoz following an investigation.

“The allegations that a grown man exposed himself to a five-year-old girl and then sexually abused her are extremely disturbing and will be met with the full force of the law,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.

West Chicago Police Chief Colin Fleury added, “This is a very disturbing case and I commend the West Chicago officers involved in bringing this matter to a successful conclusion.”

Munoz is being held in DuPage County Jail and is set to appear in court Feb. 13 to be arraigned.
