Man Charged With Aggravated Battery To Police Officer In Gary Court Incident
Grant L. Witte was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer after a domestic incident on Gary Court in Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — A Wheaton man is accused of hurting a police officer who responded to a domestic call on Gary Court in Wheaton.
Grant L. Witte was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting/obstructing arrest and domestic battery in connection with Sunday's incident.
According to Wheaton police, officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of Gary Court just after 5 p.m. for a report of domestic battery. One officer reported that they were injured by Witte, who is accused of resisting arrest during the incident, which brought a "large police presence" to Gary Court until around 8:20 p.m.

In 2023, Witte was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated battery, resisting/obstructing a police officer, unlawful use of a weapon and battery/bodily harm in connection with an incident in Naperville, according to Chicago Tribune.
A 2012 Glen Ellyn police blotter showed Witte was charged with resisting/obstructing a police officer, criminal damage to property and cannabis possession.
