March-A-Thon To Close These Roads In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton North High School's March-A-Thon is set for Aug. 16, bringing road closures near the high school campus.

Starting at 8:45 a.m., the following closures will be in effect:

• Franklin Street from Main to Washington
• Washington Street from Franklin to Seminary
• Union Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to Washington Street
• Main Street from Lincoln Avenue to Seminary
• Hale Street from Union to Wesley
• Karlskoga Avenue from Wheaton to Hale
• Wheaton Avenue from Oak to Karlskoga
• Oak Avenue from West Street to Wheaton Avenue
• West Street from Prairie to Oak
• Papworth from Amy Lane and Armbrust Avenue
• Armbrust from Papworth to Darling
• Darling Street from Thomas Road to Darling
• Thomas Road from Papworth to Darling

Per an update from the City of Wheaton, the closures will be effective for at least 30 minutes as the high school's marching band makes their way through them.

It's expected all affected roads will reopen by 11:45 a.m.
