WHEATON, IL — New parking rules are in effect in downtown Wheaton as of July 1, with the aim of making it easier for employees to park downtown. Drivers will notice timed signs that were installed as part of the change.

Customers who park in downtown Wheaton will have a three-hour time limit in "customer parking" areas between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. These areas are located in the central part of downtown Wheaton, with four-hour parking available "near the perimeter downtown," according to an update from the City of Wheaton.

Employees who work downtown will have a Blue Dot parking permit that allows them to have extended parking in areas that are designated for Blue Dot parking.
