Proposed Ordinance Amendment Aims To Address Traffic Woes On Scott Street
The Wheaton City Council will have the second reading for an ordinance amendment that aims to help curb traffic on Scott Street.

WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton City Council will have a second reading Monday of an ordinance amendment that aims to mitigate traffic on Scott Street.
City documents say the on-street parking in the 600 block of Scott Street near Franklin Middle School has "resulted in significant congestion, creating challenges for the safe and efficient passage of school buses and emergency service vehicles."
The amendment would add "no parking" signs to Scott Street's east side, prohibiting parking from Lincoln to Jefferson. This would extend a no parking zone that is in effect between Seminary and Wesley on Scott Street's east side.
