More than 1,600 participants, plus volunteers, sponsors, food trucks, and spectators gathered at the beautiful Cantigny Park in Wheaton on May 3rd for Northern Illinois Food Bank’s largest annual awareness and fundraising event, the 12th Annual Fight Hunger 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Run/Walk, presented by ALDI.

This year’s event marked a major milestone, drawing the highest attendance in its 12-year history.

From 8:30 a.m. to noon, attendees enjoyed a festive morning of racing and celebration, with something for everyone, including three scenic race routes, face painting, a kid zone, sponsor booths, free massages, giveaways, a gaming truck, and a variety of food trucks. The energy was high, and the impact even higher: all funds raised will be matched by US Foods, doubling the support for our neighbors facing hunger.
