Gary Avenue Reopens After Crash Knocks Down Pole

WHEATON, IL — Gary Avenue reopened around 6 p.m. Wednesday, following a crash that had downed a power pole earlier in the day.

A truck hit a power pole before 11:30 a.m., which caused the pole to topple and led to a closure on Gary Avenue from Thomas Road to Geneva Road.

There were no injuries in the incident, according to the city's update.
