All ages are invited to participate in a gingerbread house contest during Wheaton Public Library's Gingerbread Extravaganza on Dec. 13!

Wheaton Public Library will host a Gingerbread Extravaganza from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13. This all ages event will feature a Gingerbread House Contest, Model Train Display, and Student Craft Sale on the library’s 1st floor.
Those interested in entering the Gingerbread House Contest are asked to drop off their creation on Friday, December 12 from 3-7 p.m. or Saturday, December 13 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Voting will begin at the start of the Gingerbread Extravaganza and run until the end of the event at 1 p.m. The public is invited to vote for their favorite house in four groups (Youth, Teen, Adult, and Family), and winners will be announced after votes are tallied at 1 p.m. A prize will be awarded to the winner of each category.
After voting in the Gingerbread House Contest, attendees can peruse our Student Craft Sale featuring handmade creations made by local students in grades K-12 and check out an Interactive Train Display created by the Valley Model Railroad Club and European Train Enthusiasts.
