Tasting DeVine's Liquor License Application Moves To Public Hearing
The public hearing will be held at the Sept. 11 liquor commission meeting in Wheaton, as Tasting DeVine hopes to offer packaged spirits.

WHEATON, IL — A public hearing is set for Sept. 11 to review a liquor license application from Tasting DeVine to allow the wine shop to add packaged specialty spirits to its offerings.
Currently, Tasting DeVine holds a Class M liquor. In August, the Wheaton City Council gave its unanimous approval to change city coder to include a Class M-Plus liquor license that allows wine shops like Tasting DeVine to also offer hard-to-find spirits for purchase.
Tasting DeVine is now seeking approval for the Class M-Plus license.

In July, Bev Fishleigh, who manages Tasting deVine, told the liquor commission the store wants to keep with its practice of offering locally made products, but would like to "step it up a notch" by offering spirits.
"We think we're going to bring in the product from Whiskey Acres in DeKalb to start because we like the local idea," Fishleigh explained. She added that they may consider bringing in products from other local distillers.
