Thousands Of Flags, Patriotic Flyovers, Performances: Field Of Honor In Wheaton

Dotted with more than 2,000 American flags, Wheaton's Field of Honor will feature nightly performances leading up to Independence Day.

WHEATON, IL — Thousands of American flags will unfurl at Seven Gables Park in Wheaton this summer for the 2025 Field of Honor display. Each of the display's 2,000 American flags will pay tribute to a military veteran or active service member, fallen military member, first responder or other local hero.

In addition to the striking display of American flags, Field of Honor will feature performances that include flyovers, bagpipe players, singers, drummers, Honor Guard members and more.

The 2025 Field of Honor display is free to view and will run from June 28through July 4 at Seven Gables Park, 1750 S. Naperville Rd., Wheaton.

Residents can make donations to support the Field of Honor or can buy a flag to dedicate to their own personal heroes or lost loved ones. The flags, which start at $30, can be personalized with an "in memoriam" or dedication, withroceeds benefiting Warrenville VFW Post 8081.
