Tornado Siren Damaged By High Winds In Wheaton
It's anticipated the siren will be fixed within the coming weeks.
WHEATON, IL — High winds damaged a tornado siren in northwest Wheaton this weekend. The siren, located on Morse Street near Wheaton North High School, was damaged during storms, an update said.
City crews are working to repair the siren, with the work expected to be done, "in the next few weeks," per the update.
Residents are encouraged to make sure they can access weather alerts via multiple channels, including cellphone alerts and television and radio news sources.
