Wallet Nabbed After Shopper Distracted By Thief In Wheaton Whole Foods

WHEATON, IL — A shopper's wallet was stolen after a thief distracted them in Whole Foods, according to police.

Officers were called to the Whole Foods at 89 Danada Square East around 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 27 for a report of a theft. The shopper told police that a woman asked them for help reading labels on products. After the interaction, the shopper noticed that their wallet had been stolen.

Later that day, the victim reported that there had been fraudulent activity on their accounts.
