DUPAGE COUNTY —Lent started March 5 for some residents, which means local churches, eateries, bars and VFWs will host fish fry events.

When: Fridays, March 7 through April 11 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

What's on the menu? Baked tilapia, fried cod, macaroni and cheese, baked potatoes, french fries, brownies

How much? $15 per person; kids four and under eat free

Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873

Where: 908 Jackson Ave., Naperville

When: Fridays, March 7 through April 18

What's on the menu? Fish, French fries, cole slaw; pizza and shrimp add-on for $5

St. Michael's Parish School

What's on the menu? For $15 for $16, dine on all-you-can-eat Atlantic cod, crab cakes and whitefish or six jumbo panko-breaded shrimp. Fish sticks and chicken nuggets are available for kids at $8 a plate.
