WHEATON, IL — An Oak Lawn woman has been sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to unlawful use of a weapon for bringing a loaded gun to the DuPage County Courthouse in July, Daily Herald reports. Suheir Barham, 47, was arrested in July 2023 after her backpack set off the metal detector at DuPage County Courthouse. Police reported <a href="https://patch.com/illinois/wheaton/oak-lawn-woman-accused-bringing-loaded-gun-wheaton-courthouse" target="_blank">finding a 9mm handgun</a> with a bullet in its chamber inside Barham's backpack. According to Daily Herald, <a href="https://www.dailyherald.com/20240224/crime/woman-pleads-guilty-to-bringing-gun-to-dupage-county-courthouse/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Barham must also take part</a> in the DuPage County Sheriff's Work Alternative Program.
