Yard Waste Collection Kicks Off In Wheaton For 2025 Season

WHEATON, IL — It's a sure sign of spring now that yard waste collection has resumed for the 2025 season in Wheaton. The weekly collection will start on April 7.

LRS Waste Management will collect yard debris, food scraps and other organic waste into December.
Below is a list of items that may be included in the yard waste and organic collection.

• Food scraps
• Grass clippings
• Flowers
• Leaves
• Plants
• Shrub clippings
• Twigs

Waste items can be placed in biodegradable paper bags or in containers up to 35 gallons. To ensure collection, each receptacle must have a yard waste sticker attached and can weigh no more than 50 pounds.
