UPDATE: Winter Solstice Celebration is cancelled.
Due to the forecasted icy and windy conditions on Friday, December 19th The Friends of the Green Bay Trail and the Glencoe Park District have cancelled tomorrow’s Winter Solstice celebration. The event will not be rescheduled.
Visit the Green Bay Trail. Enjoy its winter landscape and beauty.
The Friends and the Glencoe Park District wish you happy holidays. Best wishes for the New Year.
Friday, December 19 at 5-6 p.m. | Shelton Park - FREE
Celebrate with the Friends of the Green Bay Trail and Glencoe Park District. Decorate your family, dogs, wagons and strollers with lights that glow. No open flames please! Join the historical musical Abbotts Bromley Horn Dance to celebrate the arrival of longer days. Festivities end with a bonfire and refreshments. Severe weather will cancel the event.
