Dad Of 6 Runs To Set A Good Example For Family

A Wilmette father of six sons, including two 11-month old twins, says he is staying active to be able to keep up as his kids grow up.

WILMETTE, IL — Wilmette father of six boys, Tim Little, aims to set a good example as he gears up to race in the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago on March 23.

As a father of sons ranging from 11 months to 16 years old, Little, who is a local Bank of America executive, said he is committed to staying active so he can keep up with his kids as they grow up.

Little will kick off this run season at the Shamrock Shuffle, which is the first leg of the three-part Chicago Distance Series.

"When my youngest sons are graduating high school, I’m going to be in my mid-60s, so it’s important to me to stay healthy and set a good example for my family,” Little said. “The Chicago Distance Series is perfect because it keeps me motivated throughout the year. It’s much easier to keep healthy habits when you know you have to be in shape to run several miles.”

Little has run in many long-distance races, including the Chicago Marathon last year just weeks after his 11-month-old twins were born. This year, Little plans to complete the full Bank of America Chicago Distance Series, which includes the Shamrock Shuffle, Chicago 13.1 and the Chicago Marathon.

"As a working parent who juggles multiple responsibilities, he enjoys running because he can take advantage of any small block of time he can find; he just laces up his shoes and hits the pavement," a Bank of America spokesperson said in a statement.
