Gov. Quinn Addresses New Trier Township

Gov. Quinn discussed his plans for the future of the state at a New Trier Democrats-hosted event.

Gov. Pat Quinn spoke to New Trier residents on Sunday in Winnetka concerning a variety of topics, the Sun-Times reported. About 60 people — which the Sun-Times noted were mostly Democrats — attended his speech. Two primary topics that he spoke of included the 2014 budget the he recently proposed and gun control — notably the proposed concealed and carry law.

The Sun-Times article stated that Quinn said that he had always been against the concealed carry law. He also called his recent $35.6 billion budget the "most painful ever" due to cuts that had to be made.
