Hot Fudge Sundae Day, Mosquito Control Operations

Here's what you need to know for this Thursday.

Know: Mosquito control operations will be happening today from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., weather permitting. Everything east of Hibbard Rd. and south of Lake Ave. will be treated. More information is available here

Eat:
July 25 is officially Hot Fudge Sundae day — seriously. Celebrate by dining on YOUR favorite ice cream in town. We suggest Homer's. Where's your favorite place to grab a cool treat on a warm day?

Do:
Meet your local politicians at the Bottle Shop on tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by the New Trier Democrats, and includes a representative from Congressman Brad Schneider's team, State Rep. Robyn Gabel, Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Debra Schoreand. The meeting is free — and so is the pizza. Background music is provided by Rick Frank.
