New Wilmette Police Station Project Gets Closer To Construction
Construction for the new Wilmette Police Station is projected to start up in spring 2026, officials said.

WILMETTE, IL — The Village of Wilmette Board of Trustees will hear an updated plan for the new police station at Tuesday's meeting.
The purpose of the update is to decide next steps and get a better understanding of the current design, construction and budget plans, officials said. According to the police department, the project is projected to cost $50.5 million in total.
"While the April 8 presentation is informational, this is a key opportunity to confirm that the site plan, concept elevations, and updated project budget meet the Village Board’s expectations to allow us to move forward to the next phase of design," village officials said.
