Police: $19,000 Stolen from 75-Year-Old Woman

A 75-year-old victim on the 2400 block of Elmwood Ave. reported to police that an unknown offender(s) had accessed her Chase bank account and written checks totaling $19,250. The checks were all addressed to the same woman, whom the victim doesn't know. 

The offender(s) wrote two paper checks and four internet checks. Three checks written on the 15th of July totaled $9300. A check was written on the 11th for $1850, a check written on the 12th was written for $1700, and a check was written on July 17 for $6300. 

The victim reported that she has also been receiving suspicious phone calls with no one on the other line.
