Two Outdoor Concerts in Wilmette

No plans for this Thursday? Patch has plenty of ideas!

Know: Don't forget — if you have a child in District 39, you need to register before the start of the school year. Registration is the annual verification of information like emergency contacts and updated medical information, while enrollment is the process of signing up a new student. (In-coming kindergartners need to be entrolled!) More information is online here

Do: Check out Book Buddies at the Wilmette Public Library Thurs. from 7 to 7:45 pm. Older children (grades six and up) will pair with younger buddies (ages four to seven). All buddies must sign up each week, with registration beginning Monday at 9 a.m. and continuing until the program is full. More information is available here

Do: Adults aren't the only ones who love concerts in the park. The Wilmette Parks Department is hosting a concert in the park for children Thurs. at noon. Folk-pop singer Laura Doherty will perform at Mallinckrodt Park. Bring your own lunch and a chair.

Do: Because you can never have enough free outdoor concerts, there's another one on Thurs. night! Head to Plaza del Lago at 6 p.m. for a show by Moss and Real Time, featuring original post-modern music by Chicago drummer David Moss. More information is available here
