Wilmette Beach Bash Scheduled For Sep. 18

Bonfires, beer and beaches: the Ouilmette Foundation's party is returning.

WILMETTE, IL — Despite COVID-19, the North Shore has found a way to send off summer 2021 in style, with art shows, music festivals, car shows and much more. Now, residents have one more event to look forward to as part of a prolonged Summer Farewell Tour: the Ouilmette Foundation’s Wilmette Beach Bash, a fundraiser for park district activities that will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 18 at Gillson Beach, 101 Lake Avenue.

The bash will feature local food, drinks and music, according to the event website. Food will be provided from trucks operated by local restaurants, including Fat Shallot, La Cocinita, Soul and Smoke, Chicago Lunchbox, Happy Lobster, Kissed by Fire, and Kona Ice. No outside food is allowed.

Guests can purchase drinks with an all-inclusive Alcohol Wristband. Single purchase drinks will not be available.

Tickets are available online for $40, and an all-inclusive drink wristband is $20. Attendees must show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test, park officials told the Record. Children 5 and under get in free. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event for $50.
