Theft

Three white pearl necklaces valued at $8,000 were stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Chestnut Avenue between March 24 and 31.

Criminal damage to property

A brick was used to smash the rear windshield of a Mercedes between 9:58 and 10:06 p.m. April 10 in the 1300 block of Elmwood Avenue.

The front windshield of a 2009 BMW 328i was cracked between 4 p.m. April 9 and 6:30 a.m. April 10 in the 1500 block of Forest Avenue.

The windshield of a car was broken and the roof was scratched at 9:55 p.m. April 10 in the 1200 block of Richmond Lane.

Two evergreen trees were slightly uprooted between March 11 and 18 at Saint Joseph Church.

Warrant arrest

Kleu Van Chung, 52, of Chicago was arrested on a warrant for previous traffic offenses after he was pulled over for driving with only one working taillight at 9:15 p.m. April 8 in the 1000 block of Skokie Boulevard.

DUI

Karim A. Panswani, 25, of Northbrook was arrested for DUI at 4:48 a.m. April 7 at the intersection of Lavergne and Lawler avenues. He was also charged with improper lane usage and making an improper turn.

Joseph Fisher, 21, of Evanston was arrested for DUI after he was stopped for driving with his taillights off at 1:21 a.m. April 6 in the 2800 block of Green Bay Road in Evanston.

Juan Reynoso, 20, of Chicago was arrested for DUI at 5:15 a.m. March 31 in the 900 block of Westerfield Drive. He was also charged with improper lane usage, improper turning and failure to signal when required.

Retail theft

Alexandros Daskalakis, 71, was arrested for retail theft at 3:17 p.m. April 6 at Carson Pirie Scott after he allegedly removed the price tag from a $59 purple and white striped men's Calvin Klein necktie, rolled it up and placed it in his pocket, then attempted to leave the store without paying for it after making other purchases. He also admitted to stealing a $75 pair of Armani Exchange sunglasses earlier that day.

Driving without a license

Mohammad H. Razipour, 46, of Sherman Oaks, Calif. was arrested for driving on a suspended license after she was stopped for speeding at 2:13 a.m. April 10 in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.

Kurt G. Robinson, 56, of Long Grove was arrested for driving on a revoked license after he was stopped for having a tinted license plate cover at 2:28 p.m. April 7 in the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard.

Identity theft

A resident of the 500 block of Lake Avenue reported that his debit card number had been stolen and used to make 54 fraudulent charges totaling $7,380 between April 7 and 9.

A tax return was fraudulently filed using information belonging to a resident of the 600 block of Lacrosse Avenue.

The Social Security number of a resident of the 800 block of Lake Avenue was used to open an account with Nicor Gas Company.

Six fraudulent charges totally $461 were made using a credit card belonging to a resident of the 2000 block of Beechwood.
