Callie’s background has her firmly planted in the world of parks and recreation. “I have a degree from Illinois State University in Recreation Management,” she explains, “and I started my Parks and Rec. career at Glenview Park District, working part time in aquatics.” She spent five years at Glenview where she worked her way up the ranks to Facility Manager at the pools. “I also did my senior year internship with Glenview Park District, learning many different aspects of the operations.”

With her experience at Glenview under her belt, Callie was prepared to take the next step in her career. “I knew I wanted to work in parks,” she says, “and when Wilmette Park District had an opening for a supervisor, I jumped on it!” Having heard great things about the district and the community here in Wilmette, she was excited for the opportunity to continue learning and growing in a neighborhood she was familiar with.

Outside of her work in recreation, Callie stays busy and active in her spare time. Her hobbies include working out, reading, cooking and playing board/card games. Keep an eye out for Callie and be sure to say hello!
