Wilmette Resident Grace Wright Named Volunteer of the Month by BMO Harris Bank

Grace Wright is the team manager for Loyola Girls Varsity team.

Chicago, IL - BMO Harris Bank has announced, in partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks, the recognition of Grace Wright of Wilmette as the Volunteer of the Month.

Wright is the team manager for the Loyola Academy Girls Varsity hockey team where she helped the team win a 2016 High School Hockey State Championship. Wright has been a team manager and a member of the Parent Hockey Executive Board for almost 12 years.

Also recognized were Aurora resident Jake Coleman, player for the Geneva Cyclones Midget Major Hockey Team, for the BMO Harris Bank Player of the month, and Chicago resident Jason Newman, hockey coach for Lane Tech Boys Varsity, recently named a BMO Harris Bank Coach of the month.

Darrel Hackett, President, BMO Private Bank U.S., presented the awards to Wright, Coleman and Newman during the on-ice ceremony at the April 5 Blackhawks game.

For the past eight seasons, BMO Harris Bank and the Chicago Blackhawks have teamed up to honor youth hockey coaches and players each month for their outstanding achievements both on the ice and in their communities. This is the third year BMO Harris Bank and the Chicago Blackhawks are recognizing a volunteer of the month, awarded for their efforts in giving back to their community.

All candidates are nominated by teammates, coaches, friends or family members through the Blackhawks’ website and are judged by an amateur hockey committee.
