Cassidy Paradise, 12, from Lake Zurich had plenty of inspiration when she decided to start selling handmade items at the Wilmette Summerfest - her father has been doing it for 11 years.
Paradise, along with her cousin Katie Fischer, 14, of Wilmette designed handmade bracelets and iPhone cases to sell at the festival.
"We've been working on this since the beginning of summer," Paradise said. "We've had a couple of sleepovers to work on it!"
Paradise's dad, Mark Paradise, is very supportive of his daughter and niece's entrepreneurship.
"I think it's great," he said. "[Mu daughter] decided that she wanted to come up with something on her own this year."
