New Eatery Expected on Vernon Avenue in Glencoe

The restaurant is expected to open in February for dinner and Sunday brunch.

An eatery featuring American cuisine is expected to open in February at the former Wienecke Hardware/Active Endeavors space at 694 Vernon Ave., according to Glencoe News.

Spearheaded by Glencoe resident and hedge fund CEO Alec Litowitz the restaurant will feature chef Christian Ragano who has worked at NoMi at Park Hyatt Hotel in Chicago, the newspaper reported. The yet unnamed eatery plans to source locally and organic as much as possible and prices will be “not as highbrow as the Blackhawk, and not lowbrow, either,” Eric Fosse, a partner in the restaurant told Glencoe News.

New businesses that have opened in Glencoe this year include Eclectic Gorgeous Goods at 378 Park Ave.,  Reach Yoga at 688 Vernon Ave., Richard Shay’s Photo Emporium at 660 Vernon Ave., Midwest Goldbuyers DBA Gold Max at 55 Green Bay Rd., and according to the village’s website.
