Dig In!: 4th Of July Picnic To Return To Castaldo Park In Woodridge

Woodridge will host its Fourth of July Picnic for the first time since 2019.

WOODRIDGE, IL — It's been four years since residents have gathered at Castaldo Park to enjoy grilled food and fun activities for the village's Fourth of July Picnic. The beloved picnic will return on July 4, 2023.

The picnic had been canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to coronavirus. In 2022, it was called off because of a lack of volunteers.

This year, visitors can once again nosh on hot dogs, cool off with ice cream and sip on refreshments in Castaldo Park. A beer tent will be set up for picnic goers who are 21 and older.

Village officials say more details will become available as July 4 nears.
