Fatal Woodridge Crash Victims Not Yet Identified: Coroner

DuPage County Coroner Judith Lukas told Patch dental records or DNA may be needed to identify the two people who died in the fiery crash.

WOODRIGE, IL — Two people who were killed when their car hit a home in Woodridge and burst into flames have not yet been identified, according to DuPage County Coroner Judith Lukas.

Lukas told Patch dental records or DNA may be required to positively identify the decedents. As of Wednesday night, their identities still had not been released.

The fatal crash took place around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, after an electric vehicle veered off Janes Avenue and struck a house in the 2400 block of Kildeer Avenue. Both people inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene. No one inside the house was hurt, according to police.
