Former Echo Point Playground Relocated to Botswana
Equipment used by Woodridge kids for years has found a second life in southern Africa; the same may be done next year when Willow Creek equipment is replaced.

The following is a release from the Woodridge Park District:
When it came time to replace the playground equipment at Echo Point Park last August, the Woodridge Park District was contacted by the organization Kids Around the World with a unique proposition.
Volunteers from Kids Around the World would help take down the old playground if they could then donate the playground to children in Africa. Once removed from Echo Point Park, the playground equipment was shipped, assembled, and installed at the Outreach Center in Maun Botswana in April of this year through the coordination efforts of the Kids Around the World organization.
Because this effort was so successful, the Woodridge Park District plans to work with the organization again this summer when the playground equipment is replaced at Willow Creek School.
