Murder Investigation In Woodridge: Man Found With Gunshot Wounds

WOODRIDGE, IL — A murder investigation is underway after a man was found with gunshot wounds in Woodridge Tuesday night. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later died.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of Country Club Drive around 8:40 p.m. for a report that shots had been fired. Police say they found the man lying in the street and gave him CPR and performed other life-saving measures, per a news release.

According to police, the incident is believed to have been isolated and there is no threat to the public. Woodridge Police are investigating the murder with the help of DuPage County Sheriff's Office.
