Village Hosts Fourth of July Picnic, Fireworks Show

residents are invited to the annual Fourth of July Picnic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, at , 3024 71st St., Woodridge.

Listen to The Music Company and take advantage of free pony and train rides for small children. Hot dogs, brats, chips, pop, water, and ice cream treats will be available. Beer is also available for adults.

That evening, the Fourth of July firework show will take place at about 9:30 p.m. at the , 1535 75th St. Those planning to attend the show are encouraged to arrive early and leave extra time to depart due to construction. Officers will be present to direct traffic, however, slower movement of traffic is inevitable due to the construction. Attendees are encouraged to carpool.
