Woodridge To Light 20-Foot Tree, Host Makers Market For Winterfest

WOODRIDGE, IL — Kagann Plaza will be all aglow with holiday lights, sparkling decorations and nearly two dozen vendors during the 2024 Woodridge Winterfest. The event, set for Nov. 23, will include a ceremonial lighting of the village's 20-foot holiday tree.

Visitors can purchase gifts from vendors and buy snacks from food trucks that will be onsite, including Tievoli Pizza, Lola's Churros and Hot Chocolate and Toasty Cheese. Lola's Churros will pass out free hot chocolate to the first 500 visitors.

Bands will perform holiday tunes at the Woodridge Public Library to help add to the seasonal spirit. John Boda will perform at 4:30 p.m. and Walter Thomas will perform at 7:15 p.m.

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Anna, Elsa and other winter characters will make an appearance to pose for photos with their fans.

Below is the rest of the lineup for Woodridge Winterfest 2024:

• 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Santa Comes to Woodridge will be held inside Village Hall, with goodie bags available for the first 400 kids who visit
• 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: :Live reindeer visit the plaza
• 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Kids can make themed arts and crafts inside the Woodridge Public Library
• 5:30 p.m.: Tree lighting takes place for 2024 season
