Body Found In Fox River Identified As Aurora Man

The man's body was found Friday by kayakers.

YORKVILLE, IL — The body found in the Fox River by kayakers on Friday has been identified as an Aurora man, the Kendall County Sheriff's office said Monday. Police said the man was identified as Everardo Ruiz, 25, of the 500 Block of Hammond Avenue in Aurora.

An autopsy was completed Monday but police said the cause of death remains under investigation pending the completion of lab work.

Deputies responded to the Fox River near Quinsey Lane just after 5 p.m. Friday after kayakers spotted Ruiz' body.
