Driver Killed in Route 47 Crash Saturday
The driver missed a stop sign and was pushed into a semi.
A vehicle that blew through a stop sign at Walker Road and Route 47 was struck by another vehicle and pushed into a semi-tractor trailer Saturday morning near Yorkville. The driver of the car that ran the stop sign was killed. The accident took place around 8 a.m. The car was eastbound on Walker Road when the driver missed the stop sign. The semi was northbound on Route 47. The driver was pronounced dead at the accident site by the Kendall County coroner. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The semi driver was not hurt.
