Juvenile Removed From Roof Not Linked To Yorkville Protests
"This is a mental health issue not related to any of the activities surrounding area protests," Yorkville police said.
YORKVILLE, IL—A juvenile removed from the roof a restaurant on Route 34 in Yorkville on was not linked to the Tuesday protests regarding the death of George Floyd.
"The juvenile is fine. No damage to the business," the Yorkville Police Department posted on its official Facebook page.
About 20 people took part in Tuesday's protest in downtown Yorkville. Police called the event "peaceful."

However, police said rumors soon swirled on social media regarding the juvenile on the roof of a local business. Officers were quick to squash them.
"This is a mental health issue not related to any of the activities surrounding area protests," police said. "There was no threat to the public and the situation is well in hand with services being provided to the juvenile."
