Man Dies At Silver Spring State Park: Sheriff

YORKVILLE, IL — A man died Thursday at Silver Springs State Park, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office

Deputies responded to the Yorkville-area park around 3 p.m. after receiving a call about a possible suicidal person. At the park, first responders found a man in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators do not suspect foul play, Deputy Dan Briars told Patch.

The investigation remains ongoing, Briars said.
