• Yorkville's new $30-35 million public works and parks facility taking shape (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville is moving closer to opening its new $30–35 million public works and parks facility in the Yorkville Business Center, with nearly $500,000 in new furniture now approved. City officials say the 150,600-square-foot complex will protect vehicles, improve salt storage and logistics, and ultimately save residents money, with full operations targeted for next fall.
   

• Kendall County Board met November 25 (kendallcountytimes.com) — Kendall County Board members met at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Yorkville on November 25 to approve the 2025–26 county budget and several budget amendments. The board also signed off on more than $2.3 million in claims and shifted funds to support an assistant state’s attorney position, while briefly honoring the late Dr. Gary Shlapp.
